The son of a Sawmill man turned Coalminer, Terry Muncy grew up in the hills of Eastern Kentucky…A microcosm of the world, rich in life experience.
In good times and bad he listened to melodies. It began with pieces of old mountain tunes he heard his mother and father sing and the songs he learned in the one room school where he spent the lower grades. Later on it was Hank, Merle, Johnny and Waylon.
Melodies were Magic…gifts from Heaven filling the air around him. With an old flat top guitar he still spends his time reaching for those tunes.
Sometimes he gets lucky and plucks one from the air and weaves it into a story or a love song.
For many years he thought of himself only as a songwriter. We who knew him kept urging him to sing his own songs. We were right! Here it is, his first album.
